The Athena Edge processor provides control andcommunication to Athena system components. The Ethernet links allow communication to the Athenadesigner software, integration with third-party systems, and communication between multiple processors.Athena Edge processors may be connected using eitheran Ethernet hub/switch or router, or by using Ethernetdirectly from a PC to the processor(s). All processors on aproject must be connected to a single network.
